After Your Kiteboarding Lessons- How To Progress


To be realistic, there’s only so much your instructor can cover in a 9 to 12 hour beginner course and it's going to take you far longer than that to become a proficent, independent Kiteboarder. As an instructor who has taught thousands of students over the last 13 years, I’ve compiled a list of the top 10 things that your kiteboarding instructor may not have taught you, but that you should definitely know.

Getting out on your own can be downright intimidating, so take the time to seek out other local kiters, learn where they kite, and why they kite there (wind direction, less obstacles, shallow water, etc.) The most important thing is to take your time and be as safe as possible at all times.
